Happy Hope Harper

After Hope was rescued from the Puppy Mill she was examined by a licensed knowledgeable veterinarian. All of her teeth were rotten and had to be removed, spay surgery was performed, vaccines were administered and she was put on heartworm preventative medication.

The first few weeks that we were together Hope clung to me closely and constantly trembled. Most sounds terrified her. Family and friends sent toys for her to play with. These toys were foreign to her and sadly, she had no clue what to do with them. Time has helped her to not be as afraid as in the beginning. Unbelievably, considering the life she came from, how Hope is so gentle and fun loving. Every time she is outside she looks so happy and runs freely. I smile and laugh often with Hope. Laughter is the best medicine!

We were together for several months before Hope "spoke", when she finally did, the sound broke my heart. It was not the bark that she was destine to have. I knew from that day forward we would work together to help stop Puppy Mills.

This website was created to spread Puppy Mill awareness. If we do not discuss what is happening in Puppy Mills, they will continue to go on and on. Please educate your family, friends, neighbors, and others not to buy a puppy from a pet store. Don’t Shop - Adopt or purchase a puppy from a reputable breeder.

Puppy Mill awareness is the key. Knowledge is power!

Please email us your story and a photo of your Puppy Mill rescue and we will share it on this website to help increase Puppy Mill awareness.
