Happy Hope Harper

If you would like a dog, please consider adoption or purchase a dog from a reputable breeder that treats dogs like members of the family, experienced with the particular breed that you are interested in and where you can visit the premises and meet the parents of the puppy.

Below are some organizations that work with a network of animal shelters and rescue groups to help pets find homes.

Main Line Animal Rescue

Main Line Animal Rescue's programs support advocacy and create awareness about Puppy Mills, animal rehabilitation, and education. Main Line Animal Rescue receives no federal, state or local funding and relies exclusively on the generosity of people like you. By donating, volunteering or adopting, you can take action that helps turn an animal in need into a loving family member. As you explore their website, please consider the many ways you can open your heart to the pets they rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome.

National Mill Dog Rescue

National Mill Dog Rescue's mission is to RESCUE, REHABILITATE and RE-HOME discarded breeding dogs and to educate the general public about the cruel realities of the commercial dog breeding industry.

The Shelter Pet Project

The Shelter Pet Project is the result of a collaborative effort between two leading animal welfare groups - The Humane Society of the United States and Maddie’s Fund - and is the leading producer of public service advertising (PSA) campaigns, The Ad Council. The Humane Society of the United States

The Humane Society of the United States Puppy Mill rescues save dogs from cruel conditions and the coverage helps to educate potential dog buyers and helps spark policy change.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) mission is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States. ASPCA raids Puppy Mills operating illegally and educates the public about Puppy Mill cruelness.

Petfinder has helped more than 25 million pets find their families through adoption and helps to coordinate the efforts of many rescue groups through local adoptions.
